Two squirrels and robin were in the back yard of our red brick duplex.

I wondered if they were social distancing since the squirrels were a good 20 feet apart, but you know were at the picnic together,

Going about and chewing on nuts.

Robin seemed annoyed as his buffet was disturbed by these giant rodents

and I pictured them all with

masks on.

Robin was having no part of this squirrel’s encroachment and eventually turned wing and head, and hopped off for better worm pickings a dozen feet away.

Robins aren’t the kindest of creatures,but I had to agree those grey squirrels of central Pa were a bit suspicious to me: never up to any benefit of any human existence. I’d stay inside,

Let them live their distance and me mine.
